HOW ESCADRILLE MAKES ITS LUXURY ESPADRILLES

As we often mention, we decided to make our vision of espadrilles a reality through our brand by creating a high-end, modern and trendy version of this legendary shoe. But how do we apply this vision in practice when designing our models? Today we’re taking you behind the scenes to show you how we make an Escadrille – a luxury espadrille that combines tradition, quality and haute couture.

ESCADRILLE’S LUXURY ESPADRILLE: TRADITION MEETS EXCELLENCE

While we at Escadrille are reinventing women’s espadrilles and men’s espadrilles with our own unique signature, we pride ourselves on continuing the tradition of ancestral manufacturing techniques.
We naturally chose to keep the authentic rope sole, characteristic of the original style and to this day the very essence of the typical espadrille design. To ensure our shoes are manufactured to the highest standards of excellence, we call on artisans based in northern Spain who are renowned worldwide for their unique expertise, passed on from generation to generation for several centuries. Sewn by hand, each espadrille made by us is lavished with meticulous and highly skilled craftsmanship.

But our vision of luxury espadrilles also requires unbeatable comfort. So logically, we make two distinct shapes, one for the right foot and one for the left, to perfectly fit the form of each foot and to guarantee their well-being. We also add an initial leather insole to enhance this absolute comfort.

Designed in France, each of our women’s espadrilles and men’s espadrilles are the product of our stylist’s creativity and talent. The aim is to make espadrille shoes elegant, sophisticated, chic and on-trend.
At Escadrille, every detail counts, like our sleek, resistant outer sole or the subtle trims we add when developing each of our collections.
We also take care to select the finest materials for our espadrilles, with each fabric and leather chosen according to the stylistic directions taken by haute couture fashion shows and trendsetting trade fairs in particular.
To style our luxury espadrilles, we draw on a truly modern spirit, contemporary colors and original linings that help give them a unique and bold identity.
