CALIFORNIE FRANÇAISE X ESCADRILLE COLLAB

If you’ve been with us for a while, you will know that we love meeting new people, sharing our creativity and bringing our signature to brands that we love and that have lots in common with us.
To celebrate the start of summer, we are delighted to present our new collab with Auvergne-based brand Californie Française.

HOW WE MET THE CALIFORNIE FRANÇAISE TEAM

The town of Clermont-Ferrand is definitely full of surprises! Right on the corner of our street, in the historic center of Clermont, we discovered the pretty little store of local brand Californie Française. And that was how we met its three designers: Valentin, Alan and Hans. We really hit it off and straightaway we decided that we wanted to collaborate with this team. The idea was to make something together that embodied our shared values.

DESIGNING A LIMITED-EDITION ESPADRILLE

Through this connection, we were able to co-design a unique, limited-edition creation that brings both our brands together. As our starting point, we chose a fabric worn by everyone: denim.

Available for both men and women, these denim espadrilles feature a grosgrain ribbon trim, a reinforced sand-white suede heel, and an interior customized by the amazing Californie Française graphic design team. A rope outer sole and leather insole lend the finishing touches to this unique design.

Like all the models in our catalog, these espadrilles were then assembled and sewn by hand at our workshops in northern Spain, by artisans renowned worldwide for their exceptional ancestral expertise.
