How to look after the soles of your rope shoes ?

Rope-soled espadrilles are sun-loving summer shoes. Originally, espadrilles were created for workers and farmers in the south of France. The shoes were a way to cover their feet while still letting them breathe in hot weather.

But what about when it rains? No need to panic, Escadrille rope-soled shoes have an elastomer sole attached to the rope sole to prevent water from seeping in.

To avoid damaging your rope-soled shoes, get them out of the rain as soon as possible. If your espadrilles do end up getting wet, leave them to air somewhere dry so that they can get their shape back.

If the sole of your rope-soled shoes is a little dirty, you can wash them by rubbing them gently with a damp sponge and a small amount of detergent.
